DOV and J's Finals : 2003-05-29 by DOV
It's 2.24am, one week before the exams which decide if J-man and I become Doctors. Frightening stuff, more so if you have consumed the quantity of caffeine I have over the last week. In fact, I don't even sleep anymore so much as sit at the end of my bed like a fucking barn owl.ay!

(Me, pictured yesterday at 4.30am, deep in caffeine induced madness. That's right, I study in a suit, OK?!)
The J-man is coping well, having been studying hard since Xmas; though his stable diet of Marlborough Lights and daily 6 mile runs will eventually take their toll...

(The J-man: "Smoke 'em if ya got 'em!")
I'm not all that frightened about these exams, to be honest. Certainly not
since they are overshadowed by the colossal fear I have for what is going
to happen on the Thursday night, after the results come out...
The Kolonel set the precedent for "Drunken nights after finals",
and now with two WhiteRussians getting theirs together, the ensuing drunkenness
will be frankly terrifying.

(The man certainly knows how to celebrate...)
God forbid, it might even be worse than the fateful night of the results
after our "Written Finals", where I got myself into the biggest
mess in personal history; and had to have basic life support administered
by my long suffering girlfriend, JR.
Here I am, looking (and indeed feeling), pretty damn good after too many aftershock
and double-vodka-and-reef. The stains and twigs are, not unsurprisingly, from
hedge-jumping.
(One of those pictures you just know is going to come back and haunt you when you're famous...)
Similarly, on the night of the Kolonels results, I broke my foot hedge-jumping, a few days before I was due to fly to Japan.
(Important safety message: check that hedge does not hide flight of stone steps before launching yourself over it. Alcohol can only dull so much pain..)
So:
Good luck to all of you medics reading the site who are about to do your finals.
To quote the J-man; for those who don't read the site: go to hell.
